We Are All Healers

Article Pic

PATRICK RYAN: In my book, 'Awakened Wisdom: A Guide to Reclaiming Your Brilliance,' I describe a process through which every one of us may connect to the highest aspect of who we are. That is our Divine Essence.

When in connection to greater and greater levels of our Divine Essence we become a catalyst for healing. In that way we are all healers and the only differences between us would be the amplitude or degree to which we own the gift of healing and the methodologies.

When I say that we are all healers I am referring first of all to the idea that we begin by being the healer for our own Self. We are made up of a number of interrelated systems of intelligence. The primary three are that of our mind intelligence, our body intelligence and our heart intelligence. Together these three intelligences combine and create a larger system that results in among other things our auric field. When we are in a vibrant state of being and all three of these intelligence systems are well and balanced then we also have a strong auric field. If any of these three intelligence systems is depleted or out of balance or in a state of disharmony then our auric field will reflect and reveal that.

As people learn to be able to see and experience auric fields then they may interact with their healing through the light body as well as through the doorway of each of the three intelligences. As most people do not develop the ability to interact with auric fields then the good news is that you may create powerful healing experiences for your Self directly through the three intelligences.

One central point to all of this is that you are the primary healer for your Self. One of the dangers that I have observed is that many people give the power and responsibility over to another person. When we abandon our self-responsibility and our own inherent gift of healing then we set ourselves up for getting caught in other people’s agendas of what we should be doing or not for our own healing.

It is very important to access the wisdom of other people in self-healing. Please do go and find others that have their own gift of healing developed to higher levels that allow them to be able to work with you and at the same time you must hold your own responsibility and authority in the process. By staying engaged in the decisions and participating fully in the solutions you can access the best of what other healers offer you. It is a lot like assembling a group of musicians to create a particular style of music. Bring talented and gifted people in to join your healing team and remember that you are the one that is the conductor of your own orchestra. Always trust and follow your own wisdom.

In the book Awakened Wisdom along with describing the process of connecting to your Divine Essence, I also present the Eight States of an Awakened Life. The Eight States reveal where we are walking an awakened walk and where are the opportunities to improve. Look at each of the eight states and while you do try holding any question that is relevant for you.

Lets try this with the question: What is needed for my healing now?

Now read the eight states with this question in your mind and your heart. Notice any intuitions that occur to you and stay open to the possibility of a healing solution to present itself to you.

Lets look at one of the eight states now. One of the eight states is called A Good State of Being. When we look into our life through the wisdom of a Good State of Being we are asked to look into the nature of our relationship to all things. That is not just our relationships to others such as family members but also to our relationship to our three intelligences. Quite often we cut off one of these three intelligences and the cost of that is an eventual erosion of our well-being.

If you notice that you have done that then you could ask yourself the next question which might be: What is needed for you me to open up to that intelligence more and to bring it into balance? Again notice any intuitions that show up.

I have coached many people over the years who are working through their own healing opportunities. I have found it important to have people look at their relationship with wellness itself. Quite often illness is a way that we are creating a solution to something else. Of course it is not a good way to solve something and still many people unconsciously learned that through the creation of illness they might in fact create something that they really want or they may get to avoid something that they are afraid of.

It can be helpful to have a conversation with the illness as though it could speak to you. Invite it to take a seat beside you under the shade of a tree and allow it to speak. Ask it what is wants for you? What is it getting you? How is it supporting you? What does the illness need so that it will rest and allow you well-being? Try it out and again notice any insight that comes through.

The process of healing and living a life of well-being is often a mysterious one. Everyday people experience spontaneous recoveries and breakthroughs. Anything is possible.
