S.LYNNE HORTON: Inspired Artwork & Poetry

Inside my very soul,

The moon crept in the darkness,

It shone upon my luminescent bones.

Under those curves resembling a bird cage,

My heart did drip crimson drops like the gentle rain.

Hand bare of what made it alive,

Creepily stole upon the edge of the curtain of my soul.

E’er did my weary bones wish to gaze upon the sapphire sky,

The rays of the sun did seek to find a way in from the outside.

Shutters swing open from mine once heavy eyes,

Dormant silence arose from its slumber,

Spirit gave joyful shout at the chance to be let out.

Awakening of that which had fallen asleep,

Did come alive dreams fabricated in the night,

Creating glorious light that would still dance to the melodies of creations of the night.
