S.LYNNE HORTON: Inspired Art & Poetry

The moon ventured to give its glow to a flower

So that light may be found in a garden at night

The sun dropped its rays and gave some to a flower

So that seeds may bring sun another day

The stars swam in the ocean

And gave new friends to the shores that lie beneath

So that even in the depths wishes upon a star may be found

A great eye came that saw all that we do not see

And left eyes to seek new enlightenment

Reminders of such wisdom you may find on the wing of a moth

Or within the design of the feathers of a peacock

Nature reflecting wisdom from above below

And from within shown on the outside

For as eyes are the windows to your soul

You will find eyes upon many of nature's treasures

And in it all there is wisdom to be found

If your soul is open to looking for that which is not easily seen

Then the windows of opportunities to your souls become inviting

If your heart is receptive to the wisdom that is not spoken but felt
