Red Dot of Integrity

S.LYNNE HORTON: Inspired Art & Poetry

Within ourselves we possess a reflection

Of the harmony of nature

How nature, though possessing opposites, work together

To create one amazing condition of perfection

And within those qualities of a character of honesty is reflected

Just as the sun cannot shine and neglect the moon at night

And the rain cannot fall without quenching the thirst of the desert

Nor will the rough grain of the sand on the shores

Ever refuse the invitation of the soft sea foam

While one part of the world sleeps

And the other side of the world is awake

The rotating of the earth in its vast universe

Is just giving one turn of the one side

To show the same qualities of the other side

To exist in harmony though one side may be in the dark

While the other is in the light

Yet still together it a circle of life

With the boldness of black and white

Two sides coming together in that circle

That is the infinite and continuous

Blending of what fits perfectly together

And each side has the red dot of courage

That allows the opposites to function together in honesty.
