Lace Diamonds

S.LYNNE HORTON: Inspired Art & Poetry

Drifting upon the path of a silver moonbeam,

A delicate trinket of nature's lace,

Tiny snowflakes glisten even in the dark,

Downward spiral from sky to dirt.

One upon another what fell like angels,

Gather now in a climbing blanket,

Plush the depth of soft powder,

Yet concrete upon the surface after brisk brush with the wind.

A blanket of white sparkling in the moonlight,

Sun creeps through midnight blues,

Yellow haze creeping over endless expanse of white,

Catching light individual lace flakes sparkle like diamonds.

S.Lynne Horton is a poet, author and an artist. She initially started writing poetry and gained a following online. Her poetry was first recognized and published in 2003 and continues to appear in magazines today.

Fans and friends have been asking Lynne for years to write novels and have encouraged her to write her life story. This is her new journey and endeavour.
