Grass Growing in the Sky

Article Pic

S.LYNNE HORTON: Inspired Art & Poetry

Living in a world where grass becomes rain

And the clouds give forth seeds

The sun sometimes shines black

And the moon has a notion to masquerade as a crescent

The chrysalis nurtures the caterpillar to believe it can fly

Believe that what is hard can be made soft

It's all about adding an ingredient to the recipe

Have faith that what is dark can be made light

It's all about knowing how to flip the switch

Trust that what is on the inside

Can thrive on the outside

Live in the fantasy of your world turned upside down

When the grass grows in the sky

And the clouds lie on the horizon

Is the once upon a fairytale that what once only knew to crawl

Has now learned how to fly.
