Feng Shui Your Business for Prosperity

Article Pic

MARY GIUFFRE: Abundance is only achieved if your feeling abundant, so the first step to improving prosperity is setting an intention to be prosperous and BELIEVING it's possible. You especially need to believe in yourself and that you are deserving of all best things in life.

Define what abundance and prosperity mean to you. Feng Shui is all about balance so engaging some heartfelt thinking will help. There is more to life than cold hard cash so make a list of what's truly most important. Business owners with families need enough time to devote to work without neglecting precious family time. If you're single you may want to get out and play your favourite sport, take your dog for a walk or enjoy a regular vacation. Acknowledging and finding this balance will help you feel more prosperous.

Once you are thinking clearly about abundance and prosperity, you can move on to the more physical aspects of Feng Shui.

First stand just inside the door to your office or place of business and take in all the details. Is the space clean or dusty? Organized or cluttered? Is anything broken or outdated? How much unnecessary stuff is present? An office in disarray will stifle your creativity, cloud your thinking and too much stuff will block new business from coming through the door, because literally and symbolically you have nowhere to put anything else! Now walk slowly to the top left had corner of the space. This is your Wealth, Abundance and Prosperity area and the energy the flows through here, has the biggest influence on what's going on in your business.

Make sure there are no paper shredders, dead plants, garbage bins or kitty litter boxes in this corner. All of these things are low-level energy items that will bring stifle the vibration of this area. You want stimulating items here like: Healthy plants ~ ones with coin shaped leaves like Jade work well ~ flourishing GREENERY helps get you out of the RED! If you're a storeowner, this is a great place for your cash register. Put the fax machine, telephone, and computer in this area. Install a water fountain or aquarium ~ moving water stimulates energy and has health benefits as well. Adding items in the colours of RED and GOLD or PURPLE also stimulates prosperity. Note: It's not necessary to crowd ALL of these items into one tiny corner! Select the ones that suit your needs best and go with those.

To further enhance your prosperity and well as your productivity try the following:

~ Always sit with a solid wall behind your back to ensure that you have support in your life. Be sure to have direct line of sight to your door.

~ Arrange tables and chairs so energy flows smoothly around them.

~ Avoid cactus or sharp looking plants. Don't decorate with dried flowers. They are lifeless and drain energy. If you install artificial plants make sure they're kept clean.

~ Playing calming music like ocean waves, forest sounds or rain falling will soothe a stressful working environment.

~ Beautiful fragrant flowers will always enhance and lift your spirits in any environment.

~ Dust your desk trinkets or get rid of them.

~ Have someone edit your too wordy website ~ unnecessary words are clutter too!

~ Replace that poorly laid out business card you paid next to nothing for it with one that truly represent who you are!

~ Take appropriate breaks. Get outside and breath in fresh air.

~ Eat fresh organic food. There's no better energy source!

~ Get enough rest and relaxation! How can you expect to be productive without it??
