Energize Your New Year!

Article Pic

MARY GIUFFRE: Our world is made up of endless fields of energy and the dawn of a New Year is the perfect time to change up those energies so we plant seeds for a brilliant future.

Here are my Top 10 Energizing Tips for the New Year!

1. Get rid of last year's low and negative energies by smudging your home with sage or sweet grass or burning incense while you're ringing in the New Year!

2. Refrain from consuming alcohol. This may sound like a tip from the prohibition years, but drinking is quickest way to call in negative energies. It separates us from our Spirit by putting us - in the words of Eckhart Tolle 'below thought'. Waking up feeling depressed is proof of this. If you're not depressed, you're likely still under the influence!

3. On New Years day, open your windows and doors to allow the energy of a brand New Year to flow through your home. OK, I know it's freezing cold in a large part of the Northern Hemisphere, but just two to three minutes will make a big difference to how you feel physically, mental, emotionally and spiritually! It's also a great idea to make this a weekly practice!

4. deClutter your life! Clutter impedes the flow of positive energy and creates blocks for new and exciting opportunities. Take stock of your surroundings and get rid of everything that doesn't serve you. This includes people who drain your energy, as well as habits that are detrimental to your health.

5. Create a new environment by moving your furniture around! You'll change the energy of your residence and have a new feel good place to come home to!

6. Allow your home and everything in your life to be a reflection of your dreams for an abundant future. If you don't like some of the objects in your home, you can be sure they don't like you either! Furniture, artwork, trinkets etc. collect your negative energy and reflect it back to you, so it's best to be without them ~ or if they're all you have, send them gratitude until you can replace them.

7. Be immune to the NEGATIVE as well as the POSITIVE opinions of others. It seems logical to not want to hear the negative things people say about us, but we just love to hear the great things they think. If we practice staying neutral on all issues about ourselves, it becomes easier not to judge others.

8. Be mindful of your thoughts. Thoughts are another form of energy. If you are not happy with what you see happening around you, deciding to think differently about what you're experiencing will change your outlook.

9. For the best possible energy, be sure to eat a balanced organic diet. The food groups are important, but your foods should also contain the balance of yin (calming) and yang (stimulating) energy.

10. Be grateful for everything you are, everything you have and everything that happens. You may not always like what's going on, but in those cases be grateful for the lessons.

Here's to an Energized New Year!

With Love
