Choosing the Path of Higher Good

Article Pic

JANICE CHRYSLER: After really slowing down, meditating and actually listening to the answers, the time comes when you feel you know what you should do. The next question is how do you go about it? Looking forward you realize there are many decisions, choices, opportunities to be had. Which do you choose? How will you know you are making the right move?

Regardless of who you are, where you live or what you are about to undertake, there are always choices, choices and more choices; even in those moments where you feel your options have been stripped away from you. As you grow in spiritual awareness, you realize that everyone and everything surrounding you is part of a bigger picture. As in all things, there are positive and negative actions which will harvest positive or negative results. It is necessary for you to experience some of each to appreciate the other, otherwise, how would you learn, grow and increase your vibration?

The first step then is to set aside the fear of failure. When this fear has a grip on you, you are content to remain as you are, whether it is a safe or unsafe place in your life.

People often create a prison around themselves without consciously realizing it by:

- Keep the same job even if it is unfulfilling because they are afraid of failing at a new venture.

- Stay in an energy draining relationship because they don't want to appear they failed at making it work.

- Remaining closed minded as they don't want to ask themself the 'big' questions, become involved or have to express what they really feel in case others disagree.

- Not trusting their intuition and the love of the Divine to guide them fearing that they are not worthy of 'knowing' and instead falling back on what they are told by others, institutions and organizations dogma.

- Allowing their decisions to be ego based as a form of self protection. In this way they look after the material self, but their emotional and spiritual self is left in neutral or a form of personal jail.

When you allow the fear of failure to guide your life you find yourself always searching for something to fill a void and holding back from make a change.

- This is when the opportunities come and quickly go. Your eyes are not open to see them when they come so you find you are only noticing them as they leave.

- The same goes for the people who enter your life. You fail to recognize their importance to your advancement and they too drift away.

- You find yourself at a crossroads but are afraid to make a change. So guess what? Nothing changes.
- You may find you start something but never finish it. Subconsciously you are more content with not finishing something than completing it and feel it is not good enough, successful, or as 'perfect' as it should be. In other words you fear failure.

Eliminate the word failure from your vocabulary. It is a negative word which can only bring negative results. Remember, you create your own reality through your thoughts. If you focus on the fear of failing then that is what will happen to you. Place your intention on working for the higher good, even if at this particular moment in time you are not sure what that is. Once you do this you are allowing the trust and faith in the Universe to provide you with the answers you need.

Whatever the decision is you need to make, always ask which path will lead to the higher good of all? Will taking the opportunity before you assist in some way in your life purpose? Will it cause harm to you or anyone else? If the answer is no, then proceed. If the answer is maybe or yes, then you better look it over again and be sure you are selecting this direction for the right reasons. There is nothing wrong with making more money, moving, changing jobs or leaving your church or even ending a relationship, but make sure the reasons are true to you. If you are 'using' someone else, allowing yourself to be used or abused and the end result leaves you feeling less than worthy of the gains then your choice is not one of integrity and virtue. Always go to a place of love and compassion for yourself and others.

In this way you are putting your trust and faith in that wonderful life force that joins us all to assist you in stepping forward on your journey. It is not always easy to do as you will be tempted to slide back into your comfort zone where you at least know what will happen. Often you will not see right away where the path leads but have faith and take that first step and soon synchronicities will unfold. When your intent is pure and your heart and mind are opened to receive and give love and compassion all will be revealed. It is like a great veil will be lifted and the burden that the fear of failure weighs on your heart will be taken away.

At times it will be necessary for you to travel this road alone. However, treat this as an opportunity to uncover your inner dreams and purpose through meditation and reflection. Soon you will learn that it is only through your so called mistakes, bad choices and hitting bottom that you really discover who you are, where you need to go and how to get there.

Life is all about experiencing not just existing. Each one of us has so much to offer another, the planet and the Universe. Whenever you raise your own vibration the world around you is also uplifted. So, go forth with a pure heart, positive intent for the higher good and see what unfolds for you today.
