VICKY ANDERSON: Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph.D, is a Neuro-Anatomist who was trained at Harvard Medical School. Her specialty is in the postmortem investigation of the human brain as it relates to schizophrenia and the other severe mental illnesses.

In her book, titled My Stroke of Insight , she writes about her experiences in 1996, while suffering a form of arterio-venous malformation stroke, which allowed her the rare privilege of being able to study a stroke as it was actually occurring. During this stroke, she was able to watch as her own brain functions shut down, one by one - her ability to walk, talk, read and write.

The swelling and trauma of the stroke placed pressure on the dominant left hemisphere of Dr. Taylor's brain. As a result, she was unable to recall any part of her life. But, in the absence of the neural circuitry of her left hemisphere, her consciousness shifted into the present moment and the functions of her right hemisphere increased. This left her feeling expansive, totally at peace in the Universe and connected as part of it.

Dr. Taylor was forced to undergo major brain surgery to remove a large blood clot that was putting pressure on her language centres. Although the stroke damaged the left side of her brain, her recovery burst forth an avalanche of creative energy from the right side. She now travels the country educating audiences about the beauty of the brain. In 2008, she was chosen as one of TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World.(i)

The divine Law of Polarity states that opposites are really two extremes of the same thing. Life is a circle of frequencies . There is neither good nor evil; there is only wisdom and ignorance. It is the split between the two hemispheres of the brain that causes us to perceive of this duality .

The left hemisphere is the side that is concerned only with our human condition. It understands logic, mathematics, ordered sequential relationships and the parasympathetic nervous system. The main job of the left hemisphere is to place everything in this reality into a Time line. This creates the illusion that we are finite and separate from God.

In contrast, the right hemisphere of the brain is the side that represents the creative part of the human biology. This includes music, rhythm, imagination, intuition, humor, dreams and the sympathetic nervous system. The right hemisphere understands that we are, in fact, infinite, connected to one another and connected to God .

Peace is only a thought away, and all we have to do to access it is silence the voice of our dominating left mind.

In the current evolution of man , it is the left hemisphere of our brain that is being adapted. This re-wiring process is establishing new synaptic pathways between the two sides, which will promote a new relationship with Space and Time . It is a process that will continue as we move toward the year 2012 and beyond.(ii) The new way in which our brains will then begin to communicate will promote the end of duality and the beginning of Christ consciousness .
